Control how notifications show on your lock screen by following these steps:
Important: Settings can vary by phone. For more info, contact your device manufacturer.
Tip: If you pick this option as your default, you can still restrict certain apps on your lock screen. You can have certain apps "Hide sensitive notification content" or "Don't show notifications at all" on your lock screen. Learn how to change notifications by app.
You can also try following these instructions depending on your device model.
NOTE: After following any of these steps, we recommend restarting your device to ensure the changes have been successfully applied.
Android version 6.0.1+
1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
2. Select Battery.
3. Tap the Overflow menu icon and choose Battery Optimization.
4. Tap the downward caret and choose All apps.
5. Tap "the app", then tap Don’t optimize.
Android version 7+
1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
2. Select Apps.
3. Find and tap "the app".
4. Select Battery, then tap Battery Optimization.
5. From here, select Apps not optimized option and change it to All apps.
6. Find "the app" in this list and set to Don’t optimize.
Android version 9
1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
2. Select Battery.
3. Choose Adaptive Battery.
4. Tap Restricted apps, and make sure "the app" is not listed. If you need any help along the way, contact us — we're standing by!
Huawei:
- Phone settings > Advanced Settings > Battery manager > Power plan is set to Performance
- Phone Settings > Advanced Settings > Battery Manager > Protected apps – check for our app as Protected
- Phone Settings > Apps > our app > Battery > Power-intensive prompt and Keep running after screen off [x]
- Phone settings > Apps > Advanced (At the bottom) > Ignore optimizations> Press Allowed > All apps > Find our app on the list and set to Allow
HTC:
Open up Phone Settings.
- Tap Power.
- Tap Battery optimization.
- Tap Not optimized > All apps to see the complete list of apps.
- To turn off battery optimization in our app, tap the app name, and then tap Don’t optimize > Done.
- To filter the list and see which apps have battery optimization disabled, tap All apps > Not optimized.
Meizu:
- Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Battery manager > Power plan set to Performance
- Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Battery Manager > Protected apps – check our app as Protected
- Enable Device Settings > Apps > our app > Battery > Power-intensive prompt and Keep running after screen off
Nokia:
To fix this issue, please do the following:
- Go to Phone settings > Apps > See all apps.
- Tap on the right top corner menu > Show system.
- Find Battery protection app in the list, select it and Force close. It will remain stopped until the next restart. From now on, background apps should work normally and use the standard Android battery optimizations.
OnePlus:
- Turn off System Settings > Apps > Gear Icon > Special Access > Battery Optimization.
- Phone settings > Battery > Battery optimization and switch to the All apps list (Top menu) > Our app > Don’t optimize
- Also disable Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > (three dots) > Enhanced optimization. This option may also be called Advanced optimization.
Samsung:
Galaxy S8 and later:
You will have to whitelist the app in App Power Monitor:
- Open the Settings > Device maintenance > Battery
- At the bottom you’ll see a list of your most frequently used apps.
- Scrolling all the way to the very bottom you’ll find Unmonitored apps.
These are apps that you specifically want to exclude (whitelist).
When inside the Unmonitored apps menu, you can tap the 3-dot menu to add or delete apps from the list.
Other Samsung phones:
Phone settings > Applications
Select three dot menu (top right corner) > Special Access > Optimize Battery usage
Find our app on the list and make sure that it is not selected.
Sony:
Try to make our app not battery optimized
Phone settings > Battery > Three dots in the top right corner
Battery optimisation > Apps > our app
Xiaomi:
On Power management please enable:
Settings > Advanced Settings > Battery manager > Power plan is set to Performance
Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Battery Manager > Protected apps – our app needs to be Protected
Device Settings > Apps > our app > Battery > Power-intensive prompt and Keep running after screen off
Settings > Additional Settings > Battery & Performance > Manage apps’ battery usage and here, to Switch Power Saving Modes to Off Choose the next options:
Saving Power in The Background > Choose apps > select our app > Background Settings > No restrictions
On App battery saver
Security > Battery > App Battery Saver > our app > No restriction
Autostart
Open Security app > Permissions > Auto-start Enable Autostart for our app.
